All we do is eat!!!!

As our time here in Australia is winding down we are filled with mixed emotions. All of us are anxious to return home to our families and friends that we've been away from for the past month. On the other hand we have made so many great friends who have given of their time to make us feel at home here in beautiful Australia (D9680). Our new friends have shown us so many great sights, many old and historic and many that are new. One of my favorite was this past week as we did some back country hiking in the Blue Mountains at Mt. Tomah. It was quite and peaceful and we didn't have to remember which way to look when crossing the street!
Our vocational visits were very rewarding as we were given opportunities to visit with folks in our professions. I continue to be amazed at the contacts that Rotarians have and all of the doors that are opened for us. We will for sure have many stories to tell when we return home.
The other activity that we seemed to stay busy with is eating. Whether at a Rotary meeting (breakfast, noon or dinner), out hiking on a trail, at a cafe or pub while out sightseeing or the ones I enjoyed most were the home cooked meals. The photo above was a dinner that my last hosts Dennis and Flavia Riva held for the entire team at their home. As a good Italian, Flavia knows how to cook as she made us some awesome lasagna! Dennis' abilities with Italian sausage on the grill were great as well. "Top Tucker" for sure!
Well, this will likely be my last post while "down under". Our team owes every Rotarian that has contributed to the Rotary Foundation a great deal of thanks. We are indeed grateful and we hope that we have been significant ambassadors for D6310, Michigan and The United States of America!
