A Great Honor

Today was a very special day for all of us. We had a chance to meet the Deputy Governor of the District of Bangkok. This would be equivalent to a Deputy Governor of a state in the U.S. The Deputy Governor is in charge of tourism as well as the management of the approximately 435 public schools in the Bangkok district. She was a very welcoming person, and it was wonderful to spend some time with her.

It was an honor just to meet her, but even more so, while we were there she gave us a key to the city of Bangkok. Unfortunately, I was unable to grab a photo of all of us with the key, but after the Deputy Governor left, we took the shot below.

Receiving the key was a very pleasant surprise, and we are all proud to bring this token of Thai hospitality back with us to Michigan.

Greetings! The keys to the city!! How special is that! One thing I can tell you is that you all look so darn professional and sharp in your team "uniforms" -- It was worth all the planning and effort that each of you spent on this one detail. -Ruby

I Hope this key will open a lot of doors for the entire team when they return home.
