Songs with Friends and The Happy Beer Garden

We've been enjoying the last couple of days up here in Saraburi. Saraburi is a much smaller city about two hours north of Bangkok, with only 600,000 to 700,000 people living here. While still a pretty large city, it's not nearly as busy here as it is in Bangkok, and that means we spend more time learning about the culture, and less time in the car driving from place to place.

The night before we left Bangkok, we drove by a bar called The Happy Beer Garden. We all thought the name was pretty funny, and it's come up in multiple conversations since then. I think all of us thought it would be good to have an evening to relax and hang out together.

Tonight, as if our hosts read our minds, we went to a Thai pub with members of our host Rotary club here in Saraburi. The name of the bar translated into English means "Songs with Friends." We had a great time ordering a few drinks, singing karaoke and even spent some time dancing. A very good way to end the day.

That's neat that you are learning more about Thai culture. That was nice being able to sit back and enjoy each others company. Like Katrina, I'd also like to see pictures from the Thai pub.

Enjoy yourselves,

Patty :o)

nice to hear you're in a SMALL town of 700.000. The Thai team will really experience small when they visit Sebewaing and Bad Axe duting their visit to our District.
