We have been very impressed with Rotary in District 3350, the club officers are well organized and all the members so very friendly. We have met with over six clubs and given our presentation to five of them and also given it a couple of other times for small groups. They appreciated our Hello and Thank you greetings given by our team members in the Thai language. Also, everyone likes the Motown music and Michigan photo show which is in the middle of the presentation.
One Club had Karaoke after the meeting and the team members joined in the singing and enjoyed interacting in the shared music. Many of the clubs have a paid club assistant who helps with coordination. That person works full or part-time for the club. This enables the president to not be overloaded. The Clubs are very active in service projects and take great pride in Rotary. Photos are taken at every meeting we have attended. Always several of flag exchange, gift exchange etc. The photos are taken of all their activities to tell the stories and they are posted at meetings and many are published in club documents. Rotary emblem is often included in the persons professional business card and has recognition and stature is attributed to membership in Rotary.
This has been evident by the thorough presentations and VIP treatment we have received when visiting various businesses. We were even welcomed by the Deputy Governor of Bangkok and given a elegant golden key to the city. We felt very honored to meet her and she was so very gracious and welcoming.
Additionally, the organization and detailed planning of the GSE Chair, Worramon Baiyoke, District committee, all the area coordinators and local clubs is remarkable and very much appreciated!!
